Position Title: Senior Data Scientist / Analyst Reports to: Principal Consultant Reporting to this position: Junior Data Analyst, Data Analyst, Interns Overview * We are a data insights and analysis consultancy working with multiple clients with a focus on marketing. Our work combines data modelling, segmentation, data strategy and data visualisation. * We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Scientist / Analyst to join our expanding team with responsibility for leading key projects across the portfolio. Purpose of role: * The senior lead for managing the development and execution of data analysis projects for White Box. You will be expected to understand our clients' business objectives and overall strategy to ensure that analysis work is focused on those areas where the most value can be added. * This is a senior strategic role leading the analytics team, requiring an individual who can: lead a team, leverage their analytical skills, provide strategic advice to clients, develop client relationships, help bring in new business and create new White Box Products. Core responsibilities: * Lead analyst on all major client work * Generate customer insights * Look for opportunities to further analytics work within each project * Consider implications of analysis projects on wider marketing strategies * Build client relationships * Help to develop new reports/products * Ensure working practices are compliant with data governance and data quality * Provide insight back to the Marketing team that we can showcase to the market - Provide opportunities for learning and growth for all team members through training and shadowing * Educate internal team on analysis techniques and data strategy * Keep the business and team up to date with the latest methodologies and technology - Building innovative products for White Box * Create innovative new uses of the data that can be commercialised * Work with the Principal Consultant on building the White Box product suite - Working with the Principal Consultant to bring in new business * Support the Principal Consultant in pitching for new clients, both in terms of pitch content production and providing analytics support at the pitch meeting 10 Essential Skills: * Proven experience in designing, managing and delivering analytics projects with a focus on the commercial aspects of these projects * Highly proficient in SQL and R/Python programming languages * Highly experienced in data visualisation * Highly experienced in building and implementing statistical models e.g. Propensity Modelling, Segmentation, Clustering * Experience of working with multiple and large data sets, including writing efficient code * Skilled in data manipulation, preparation and presentation * Ability to understand complex business models, data flows and processes * Ability to present technical analysis to non-technical audiences * Strategic thinker who is able to add value to analysis * Marketing knowledge / theory 5 Personal attributes: * Analytically minded * Entrepreneurial attitude * Forward-thinking and solution-orientated * Multi-tasking skills / Organisational * Business acumen Experience: * Minimum of 7 years experience * Previous marketing agency experience is desirable Qualifications: * Degree / Masters level qualification, ideally with statistics component *Advanced experience with SQL, R/Python, Tableau/Other visualisation software and MS suite products Contract length: * 3-6 months with the potential to go permanent Salary: * Competitive
