Challenging convention
What was wrong
Amidst rising defaults, it was obvious that the client’s knowledge of the customer base was heavily reliant on what the sales consultants knew from past experience, i.e. gut feel.
What we did
We performed a segmentation analysis using SQL and Python to uncover a more accurate profile of a good customer. It affirmed that while they had some things right, there were several findings that challenged their conventional thinking.
Why it mattered
The client could re-evaluate their application processes with data-driven insights that provided fresh perspectives.
